Understanding Our Position as Children of God
This sermon establishes the foundational truth of what happens when a person is born again and what it means to have right standing with God through Jesus Christ. The pastor emphasizes that believers are not helpless or hopeless, but have been given authority, power, and standing in both the spiritual and natural realms. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, believers pass from death to life, becoming new creations with the rights and privileges of sonship in God's kingdom. The message stresses that the same faith that brought salvation—believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth—is the same path to living in victory and abundance. Believers have authority to use the name of Jesus, approach God's throne with confidence, and reign in life despite opposition from sickness, sin, or the enemy. The sermon calls Christians to understand their identity, put off the old man, put on the new man, and walk in the fullness of what Christ has provided.
